They are not used as the lawful basis for sensitive personal information. Sensitive personal information is processed only when a criterion under Section 13 of the Data Privacy Act applies, such as specific consent, processing authorized by law or processing necessary for legal claims.
5. How Information Is Used During the Seller Journey
Quotation and appraisal
Mobee uses contact and vehicle information to prepare an indicative quotation, follow up on the inquiry and arrange an appraisal. A preliminary quotation is an estimate, not a guaranteed Dealer offer or binding purchase price. A Vehicle Appraiser may collect authorized photos, videos, condition findings, diagnostic information and document details.
Participating Dealers
To obtain offers, Mobee may provide participating Dealers with relevant vehicle details, general location, photographs and videos, appraisal findings, condition and history information, registration or financing status, and document availability.
Mobee will not ordinarily give all participating Dealers your direct contact details, complete government-ID numbers or unredacted ID images, bank or beneficiary information, exact residential address, or ownership documents containing information unnecessary for offer evaluation. Where reasonably practicable, Mobee will minimize identifiers and avoid sharing unrelated people or belongings captured in vehicle images.
Participating Dealers may not use offer-stage information for unrelated solicitation or marketing.
Selected Dealer
If you accept a specific vehicle transaction, Mobee may give the selected Dealer additional information needed for verification, documentation, payment and handover. This may include Seller and owner identity and contact details, IDs and signatures, OR/CR and authority documents, financing or release documents, final price and conditions, beneficiary information, the Deed of Absolute Sale, and payment or handover records.
The selected Dealer may act as an independent Personal Information Controller for its own purchase, accounting, documentation and vehicle-transfer obligations. Mobee does not authorize the selected Dealer to use Seller information for unrelated marketing without separate permission.
6. Payments, Communications and Marketing
Mobee may collect the intended payment beneficiary, the beneficiary's relationship to the Seller or registered owner, bank or electronic-wallet details, proof of account ownership, payment status and reference numbers. This information is confidential. Mobee may place payment or closing on hold if identity or authority cannot be reasonably verified.
Mobee may use the website, Messenger, SMS, telephone, email, electronic-signature systems or another approved channel for quotation follow-up, booking reminders, appraisal coordination, Dealer offers, document checks, transaction acceptance, payment, handover and complaint resolution. These are operational communications for the requested service.
Optional marketing is separate and uses a distinct, unticked consent choice where required. You may withdraw consent by using an available unsubscribe function, replying STOP to an eligible promotional SMS, asking a Mobee representative to stop promotional contact, or emailing hello@mobeecars.com. Withdrawal applies to future marketing and does not stop necessary communications about an active inquiry, appraisal or transaction.
7. Cookies and AI-Assisted Processing
Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary technologies may support security, session management, form submission, basic preferences, fraud prevention and the recording of privacy choices.
Mobee uses Google Analytics to understand website visits and performance, and Meta Pixel to measure advertising, attribute inquiries and support advertising or remarketing. These optional technologies should not activate until the visitor makes the applicable cookie choice. Rejecting them will not prevent a Seller from requesting a quotation or contacting Mobee through available channels, although some website features may be affected. Browser settings may also be used to block or delete cookies.
AI-assisted tools
Mobee may use AI-assisted tools to suggest a probable vehicle make, model or variant from photographs, support preliminary quotation or valuation ranges, and produce internal service analytics. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and depend on the information provided. Final Dealer offers remain subject to appraisal, documents, Dealer assessment and agreed conditions.
Mobee will not use AI as the sole basis for a final decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on a Seller. Government IDs, payment information and ownership documents will not be used to train a general-purpose AI model unless a separate lawful, transparent and appropriately controlled basis has first been established.
8. Other Recipients and Overseas Processing
Mobee may disclose Personal Data on a need-to-know basis to:
- Authorized Mobee directors, personnel and contractors;
- Participating Dealers and the selected Dealer;
- Website, CMS, hosting, cloud, communications, electronic-signature, valuation, image-processing and analytics providers;
- Banks, payment channels and financing institutions where relevant;
- Auditors, lawyers, accountants, insurers and other professional advisers;
- Government authorities, regulators, courts or law-enforcement agencies where legally required or permitted;
- Parties involved in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims; and
- A legitimate purchaser, investor or successor in a corporate transaction, subject to confidentiality and data-minimization controls.
Mobee does not sell or rent Personal Data to unrelated parties. A provider that processes Personal Data only on Mobee's instructions must be subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality and security safeguards.
Some providers or support functions may store, process or permit authorized access to Personal Data outside the Philippines. Mobee applies the lawful basis of the underlying activity and uses reasonable safeguards such as data-processing agreements, access restrictions, security reviews, minimization and incident-reporting duties. Mobee remains accountable for Personal Data processed on its behalf by an overseas provider.

Backups and legal holds: Deleted data may remain in rolling backups for up to 90 days. Records under a dispute, investigation or legal hold remain until the matter is finally resolved.
When retention is no longer justified, Mobee will securely delete, destroy or anonymize the information. Routine deletion may be suspended for a legal hold, regulatory instruction, pending complaint, investigation or anticipated claim, with access restricted during that period.
10. Security and Personal Data Breaches
Mobee applies reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical and technical safeguards proportionate to the information and processing risks. These may include role-based access, authentication, confidentiality obligations, activity logging, secure storage and transfer, staff training, device and network protections, backup and recovery, provider reviews, document redaction and secure disposal, and incident-response procedures.
No Internet transmission or information system can be guaranteed completely secure. This does not remove Mobee's duty to use reasonable safeguards and respond appropriately to incidents. Where a breach meets mandatory notification criteria, Mobee will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected individuals within the period required by law.
11. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
Subject to the Data Privacy Act and lawful exceptions, you may exercise the following rights:
Right to be informed: know whether and how your Personal Data is processed.
